Been awhile since I've been down on the Pearl Street for music but that would be one of the first places I would look there's also West End and a couple others further west
Cool spot on Pearl with pub food, daily specials, and a huge game room downstairs. Really big place that doesn't look like it from the front, very laid back atmosphere
They have great specials..
Awesome food, games
Super duper packed when we went. Had Left Hand Milk Stout advertised on tap but they must have run out because I got the "Is Guinness okay?" Food was good. They call your name on the PA system when it's ready.
awesome bar food, and quarter pool- decent happy hour beer prices, can't ask for much more
Best foosball table in town
The food here is awesome. The bartenders are friendly and good at their jobs. The pool tables downstairs are in good condition. This is a great place to go at non peak hours to chat or hang out. Gets really crowded whenever the college kids go drinking, but if you're fine with that it can still be a good time
Delicious food and drink in a chill area of Boulder. I had the BBC... bacon, bbq, and cheese. It's was delicious. Definitely try BBC if that's what your into or if you're curious. Everyone should once in life.
For the college crowd it’s an awesome late night party place. For the older crowd (like myself) I love coming here to get a beer with friends but always plan to leave before 9. Ugh getting old 🙄
Fussball with middle-aged soccer mom in cozy basement reliving 20th anniversary of former glory. . . . Four bits . . . $1. A Greasy burger one minute after midnight at one of the best bars in Boulder. . . . $8.95 . . .being mooched on by no less than five college kids in the course of a single cigarette on the porch. . .38 cents. . . watching a freshly minted twenty-one-year-old sorority girl in a cute outfit attempting to climb a barstool to make out with taxidermy Buffalo as tradition. . .priceless
Yes, pub food is a low-bar to beat, but this place nails it. Do not forget the unique calling of this place, either - to kiss a stuffed buffalo on your birthday.
Good spot for day drinking and people watching.
My favorite bar downtown, no matter what time of day really but it's busier at night. Best bar food in town and a great selection of beers. Plus the drinks are made solid.
It was the last stop on our touristy pearl street crawl on Halloween weekend. Pardon me if this review is a little spotty, but the locals were friendly and the beer was flowing. Great staff & a cool vibe made our stop in this packed, multi-level bar one to bookmark for a return visit next time we're in town.
This was a great little pub to stop in and grab a pint while strolling around Pearl St.
I don't know exactly how to say this but this is been there since I was probably 12 years old it's always been a great bar it's always been stable and a good place to go and hang out have a drink on the mall people watch or play a game of pool maybe have bar food it's all about do you see any of the other places there were around from the get-go they were straight across the street from where Mork & Mindy were they were next door to the Blue Note I just still wish the Acropolis was there anybody that knows what I'm talking about since a hell yeah best breakfast place in the world so sad it's gone
Best grilled cheese I've ever had and awesome place to sit and just watch pearl street life.
I had purchased a can from Oscar Blues and since it remained unopened I did not see an issue with continuing to bar hop. The security noticed the can and said that I couldnt have it in there. Everything completely nor.al and acceptable up to this point. The security offers to hold the can up front for me in one of the fridges and the bartenders agreed. When it was time to leave I went back to the bartenders and security and suddenly nobody knew anything about my beer can souvenir from Oscar Blues. The bartenders were even rude about it now where they had been extremely helpful in the beginning. Whomever drank my beer I hope you enjoyed it!
Great atmosphere, good cold beer, excellent food. Great place to have a nice casual dinner and drinks.
My go-to lunch spot on the mall. Great daily deals.
Very nice area.
Very beautiful town to be in relaxed state.
Good cheap food. Friendly staff. Boulder icon
Refused service to me (23) and my wife (22) at the door when we presented our military ID's, (CAC and dependent ID) reasoning we were told was because they haven't been accepting them since they were issued. Educate your employees or get rid of them. I will never spend money at this establishment.
Great place for late night drinks or snacks. Bobby, Leanne and Rico are awesome.
This bar is a landmark on Pearl St. Great food for a bar!
This place is great! Why might you ask? Drinks are some of the cheapest on Boulder, and the food is amazing...it is always piping hot, just off the grill. The vibe is chill and the service is always good even when busy. Highly recommend!
Nothing pretentious or fancy here, but I won't call it a "dive". Not too many college kids compared to some other nearby spots, but gets pretty crowded during weekend peak times. Good spot for pool, foosball, darts, and other games. Great bartenders and drinks.
There was a bit of a wait on a Thursday night, but they offer free beer & cider samples at the bar in back while you wait. Inside was pretty crowded. We opted to sit outside. There's one long table/rail with stools along it.My brother-in-law and I really enjoyed our burgers, and I enjoyed talking with the bartender/waitress in back while we waited for seating. She gave me good suggestions based on what I normally like, and she was genuinely friendly and helpful. Our waitress had a pretty good sense of humor, too.The only negative was the wait, but it was understandable given how packed the place was when we arrived.
Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. It has a good atmosphere.
Looked like fun. Bartender was friendly. Was there alone and didn't stay too long.
A true local vibe in a town that's always changing this is "Cheers" Boulder style...🐃🐂kiss the Buffalo and be admired by all the college kids and then mm I've to a great sidewalk table outside for beautiful people watching and to check out the finest in Haute Outdoor Ciuture. Once had a beer with Michelle Kwan here. ⛸❄️🥃🏔
Cool bar with a basement. Has pool tables and games. Gets over crowded during the weekend, so you’ll bump a lot of people while you play. Old people up stairs, slightly younger downstairs for the most part.
Little hole in the wall. But lots of fun... my favorite is the little dart dungeon. The Bar food is great and the Staff are always friendly too.
Great service and food.
Best bar/pub in town
I was arbitrarily denied entry by the bouncer when trying to enter with my fiancée and our friends. I was sober and he claimed I was “on something” with no further explanation. I used to like this place so I was disappointed to have a negative experience like that.
Best place to grab food when in a hurry. The customer service is fast, pricing is reasonable, good atmosphere. Will come back again
Cozy, friendly pub. Good selection and relaxing atmosphere. Will be coming back!
Your typical neighborhood bar. Very nice atmosphere with a good beer selection! The burger was ok in taste and seasoning but the meat seemed fresh. The fries were being fried in oil that has been used tons of times, clearly from the color and the coleslaw salad was not that good of a replacement...
One of the last real bars in Boulder. Looking for a fake posh place overpriced and full of obnoxious attitude? This is not what you're looking for.
Nice old school bar setting. Bartender was really nice. I'll be back.
Nice staff. Good drinks and games. TV's for sports games outside of Friday-Sunday evenings although music played instead of the game. Met a few (likely regular) gentlemen who were far beyond overserved for 6+-1pm so do with that what you will. Exemplary last call service- first night experience their staff helped me get some water to an overserved Pearl Street female when neither of us were patrons. Nice place to visit on a Pearl Street crawl but neither a home bar or place to recommend to friends. Nice place, nice people, nice staff. Nothing bad to say, nothing great to say besides the after last call class of your staff. Literally only a 4 star because the absolute class and empathy of your staff after last call for non-patrons on a random night in August 2019. Otherwise 3 star.15+ visits over 6 months in town.
Bartender accused me of being too drunk for asking for a brandy old fashioned. Kicked me out after.
Usually pretty happy with the service but the female bartender upstairs tonight was on a power trip. Called last call I walked up maybe 30 seconds later and waited for her to take my order.... no service, she only paid attention to 4 guys at the other corner of the bar, then when I make eye contact tells me it’s too late. Unprofessional. I get having regulars but serving them shots then refusing to serve me 5 seconds after is bs.
Looove this place! Food is awesome, the people that work here are awesome. Cool place!
very mindful security, they never escalate any problems, they remain cool headed even in bad situations, the barstaff will remember your name after a couple visits, and probably the best priced drafts in town
My old stomping pad. Best bar in Boulder. And I'm Boulder born.
Really popular and really small, seems like a hangout for CU students. Cool place just a bit crowded for me. Love the pac man table and foosball minus being limited to 5balls so you usually can't finish a game so that makes no sense. Also not a place for tall people 😂
